Why miniature Herefords?
The miniature Hereford is a small and friendly breed of cattle. All of the characteristics and attributes of the Hereford appear in a smaller and more compact animal. Unlike larger Herefords, Miniature Herefords are thick, deep bodied, short legged, muscular and chunky which in turn makes excellent beef.
Miniature Herefords adapt very well to various climates. They are bred in several different types of climates from all different parts of the U.S. and even Canada and Australia . With miniature Herefords you don't need to have expensive facilities in order to care for them. All you really need is land and a fenced in area because of their mellow nature and small size.
As with all animals, they should have access to a shelter; whether it is a barn, lean-to or some type of wooded area for protection against severe weather. Miniature Herefords are also the only cattle breed to be miniaturized and still maintain all of its larger counterparts brilliant features.
